First, congratulations to Ehlona Walker, a sophomore member of our YRUU youth group, who has received recent recognition from the UUA as a Luminary Leader. The Luminary Leaders program recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding service and leadership in Unitarian Universalist communities.
Recognized Luminary Leaders have devoted tremendous time and energy to youth communities, congregations, district leadership teams, boards, committees, and more. The UUA recognizes this leadership as important and vital to our faith. Youth leaders bring new ideas, diverse perspectives, and great energy and enthusiasm to our communities.
We are exceptionally proud of Ehlona’s accomplishment!
Mission Trip Updates!
Our 2018 Mission Trip Advising Team is in place. Our three adult advisors are John Fitak, Alisha Koneazny, and Don Weimer. Dates of importance for the 2018 trip are:
- Sunday, November 12—Youth applicant interviews with trip advisors from 10:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
- Sunday, November 26—$100.00 trip deposit money is due to Deb by 12:30 p.m. for ALL youth participating in the trip.
