“The Courage of Living and Dying” The Reverend Jennifer Nordstrom Bob Balderson, Worship Associate Alissa Rhode, Lead Music Director Beryl Aschenberg, Director of Religious Education
The Reverend Forrest Church said, “religion is humanity’s response to being alive and knowing we must die.” While our personal mortality can be terrifying, knowing our loved ones are also mortal is sometimes even more so. It takes courage to live fully, knowing we must die and all those we love will die as well. It also takes courage to die and to let those we love go. We will all face this human struggle. On this Halloween weekend before All Saints and All Souls Days, we will reckon with this dual reality together.
