Whether religiously devout, agnostic or atheist, we all can experience healing grace every day. Grace can be actively cultivated through awareness and committed practice. This class will explore five principles of living a grace-filled life: Gratitude, Resilience, Acceptance, Compassion, and Equilibrium.
We will look at how to recognize the shadow side of each of these virtues, as well as the rich benefits of incorporating our Unitarian Universalist principles in our daily lives.
Becky Spice is a professional singer, healer, host to travelers, bargain hunter, and mom. She has been a member of First Church for over 15 years and has served as Worship Associate, WA trainer, and frequent vocalist. Becky tells us: “After a lifelong battle with depression, I know personally that suffering can be a powerful catalyst for change. Using these five tools has transformed my view of the world and my place in it.”
