Sailing Through the Air: Transformation’s Loss and Freedom

April 9 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

TWO SERVICES & RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

9:00 & 11:00 A.M.

This month’s theme:

What does it mean to be a community of “Transformation?”

SUNDAY, APRIL 9

“Sailing Through the Air: Transformation’s Loss and Freedom”

The Rev. Jennifer Nordstrom

Beryl Aschenberg, Director of Religious Education

Tristan Strelitzer, Choir Director

accompanied by Jack Forbes Wilson, Artist in Residence

Every transformation involves the loss of what was, even as something new becomes. How do we honor our love for our old selves and our past when we pursue growth? What do we need to let go in order to move forward? In this service, we will explore the mixed blessing of transformation and letting go, and honor the paradox of loving what has brought us to this moment, even as the moment changes us.
