What can we see in the dark? How might the darkness soothe our weary eyes that we may see more clearly, as the lyric to one of our hymns suggests? Join me for this contemplative relaxed service in which we explore the gifts lying hidden in the dark of winter. I will draw from Barbara Brown Taylor’s book “Learning to Walk in the Dark,” in which she says, “I have learned things in the dark that I could never have learned in the light, things that have saved my life over and over again, so that there is really only one logical conclusion, I need darkness as much as I need light.”
