Every day we open a door, step across a threshold and close a door behind us. A spiritual reality resonates in this simple physical motion if we listen for it. In the gospel according to Luke, Jesus said, “Knock and the door will be opened for you.” In The Sorcerer’s Stone, J.K. Rowling wrote, “There were doors that wouldn’t open unless you asked politely, or tickled them in exactly the right place, and doors that weren’t really doors at all, but solid walls just pretending.” Join us on the threshold of summer to reflect on passing through doorways.
