Most of us, if asked, would say that we aspire to be our best selves: kind, patient, understanding. And much of the time, we succeed. But what of the times when we don’t? I will reflect on this question by looking at the moments while driving when I have failed to live up to my best self.
Beth Monhollen is a 1997 graduate of Alverno College where she fell in love with theater which has remained a central focus of her creative and professional endeavors. She has performed with Wind-Up Dolls Theater, Boulevard Ensemble, Windfall Theater, and Optimist Theater. Her day job is advising undergraduate students at Alverno and adjunct teaching for the Dance/Theater Department and the Liberal Arts program there. She joined First Church in the fall of 2013 and is very happy to be part of this creative, caring community.
