Speaker: The Rev. Adam Robersmith
Music: Jack Forbes Wilson, Artist in Residence
In order to recognize and encourage the presence of good in the world, the Celts had a practice of blessing every moment, every thing, every person. This ancient cultural and religious practice is called “saining,” which means to set a sign of blessing upon all things. Literally all things. How might we reimagine the whole of the world as worthy of blessing?
The Rev. Adam Robersmith is the minister at Second Unitarian Church in Chicago, as well as a spiritual director, artist, and gardener. In his own spiritual life, he draws most strongly on the Western contemplative tradition, the sciences, the arts and the earth for inspiration and wisdom.
