Sunday Service: Practicing Patience in Uncertain Times

April 3, 2016

TWO SERVICES AND RELIGIOUS EDUCATION 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.

“Practicing Patience in Uncertain Times”
Speaker: The Rev. Dena McPhetres
Music: Jack Forbes Wilson, Resident Artist

When Elaine and Beryl and I chose worship themes for the year, we thought everyone could use some extra Patience in April while waiting those last few weeks before meeting our Senior Minister Candidate! But Patience is a virtue for any day of the year. We know it when we have it and wish we had more of it when we don’t. What is patience? Calm endurance, perseverance in the face of challenges, forbearance when under stress. Buddhist teacher Allan Lokos claims that the more we use patience, the more we have. So let’s reflect together about practicing patience, especially in uncertain times.

Welcome and Recognition of New Members today!
