Sunday Service: “The Hand That First Held Mine”

August 14, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

ONE SERVICE AND RELIGIOUS EDUCATION 10:00 a.m.
“The Hand That First Held Mine”
The Rev. Kent Mayfield
Alissa Rhode, Lead Music Director

Each of us stands a chance of discovering that the story of one is the story of all…in the boredom and pain of it no less than in its excitement and gladness. In that, we can be lifted up, buoyed up, and promised wholeness.

Prior to his retirement, the Rev. Dr. Mayfield was the Executive Minister/Chief Operating Officer of the First Unitarian Society in Madison. These days, he serves as the pastor of the Unitarian-Universalist Fellowship of Dubuque and is a frequent speaker at the Free Congregation of Sauk County as well as other congregations in the Upper Midwest. He is the Artistic Director of the Rural Musicians Forum which schedules an annual series of concerts in the Taliesin-Spring Green area. Kent and his married partner, Jack Ford, live at St. John’s on the Lake.

Join Earth Justice Ministry for the Annual Water Service this morning at 11:30 a.m. at Washington Park Lagoon!
