“Sabbath as a Form of Resistance”
The Rev. Dena McPhetres
Tristan Strelitzer, Choral Director
Taking a full day of rest each week is counter-cultural; some might even say it is subversive. Yet practicing Sabbath is an ancient tradition in several religions. How does rest, reflection, and renewal serve as a form of resistance to the destructive forces in society? Please join me for my last sermon before I leave for a five-month sabbatical and you are welcome to join us at the “good-bye for now” reception in Coffee Hour afterward.
