Adult Education

Book Discussion Group

The Book Discussion Group meets monthly to discuss a previously chosen book.  All are welcome at their meetings!

Buddhist Study Group

This group meets on a regular basis to discuss Buddhist writings and to meditate.

Chalice Circles

Chalice Circles are groups of seven to nine church members and friends that provide opportunities for ongoing sharing and caring, spiritual growth and reflection. Groups meet twice a month with a trained facilitator to discuss topics of spiritual and personal significance.

Chancel Choir

Our Chancel Choir sings during the Sunday services — usually about once a month.  Weekly rehearsals are in the sanctuary on Thursdays, 7:30 p.m.–9:15 p.m. New members are welcome!

Pagan Celebrations Group

Our Pagan Celebrations Group organizes rituals honoring the natural cycle of the earth and celebrating the seasons.

Spiritual Retreat Committee

The Spiritual Retreat Committee organizes the annual FUSM spiritual retreat for members and friends of First Church, providing a venue where one can eschew external pressures and spend luxurious time focused inwardly in silence to nurture their spirits.
