Circles of Support

Description

Members meet monthly with ex-offenders or returning citizens to listen and offer support. The discussions are led by Circle Keeper Sylvester Jackson. First Church members offer the gift of active listening to these returning citizens. The average time for reentry is a year and a half up to three years, with successful reintegration consisting of employment, stable housing and access to mental health services. First Church Circles of Support members offer support as returning citizens enter their new, free life. Each Circles is limited to two or three members from First Church, ensuring that our returning citizens can easily participate. Members rotate attendance every few months.
