“A Glimpse of Current Wisconsin Politics”

Presenter: Chris Larson, State Senator.

Born and raised in  Milwaukee County, Senator Larson attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and graduated with a degree in Finance and a minor in Political Science. In 2008, he successfully ran for Milwaukee County Supervisor on a platform of fully funding our parks and transit system. In Fall 2010, Senator Larson was elected to the Wisconsin State Senate. He is currently serving as Senate Democratic Leader and a member on several legislative committees.

Active in his Bay View community, Senator Larson participates in several neighborhood committees and initiatives. The Larson family, which includes wife Jessica and son Aticus, are members of First Church. An avid runner since high school track, Senator Larson has a long-term goal of running a marathon in every state.

First Unitarian Society of Milwaukee

Sunday Forum is a Sunday morning lecture series at First Unitarian Society of Milwaukee that showcases provocative, sometimes controversial, speakers discussing topical issues of the day: politics, the environment, health issues, the arts, education and more. The Forum — in Max Otto Hall on our second floor — begins at 10:10 a.m. and lasts about 45 minutes. Speakers give a 30-minute presentation, followed by questions and brief comments from the audience. Coffee is served. Childcare is available.
