Poetry Reading and Open Mic – Against Hunger

April is National Poetry Month! First Unitarian Society of Milwaukee will celebrate with a poetry reading on Sunday, April 14, from 1:30-3:00 p.m. in Max Otto Hall.

Featured poets will be those whose work is published in the Wisconsin edition of the book Bards against Hunger. In addition, there will be an open mic focusing on issues of social justice.

The book Bards against Hunger will be available for purchase, with half the purchase price being donated to the Interchange Food Pantry in Milwaukee. Other suggested donations are fresh fruit (apples, oranges and pears) or cash to be used to purchase items for the pantry.

Registration for this event is not required. If you have any questions, please contact Katy Phillips at 414-988-9820 or jphil777@aol.com.
