“Core/El Centro: Natural Healing Center”
CORE El Centro’s Development Director, Pat Bogenschuetz, will talk about the not-for-profit natural healing center for underserved and low-income clients, offering a healthcare option to those who otherwise have little access to programs focused on wholeness and the healing energies of natural therapies. All healing services (acupuncture, massage, reiki, meditation, dance, yoga, exercise, children’s activities, nutrition education, and programs to deal with cancer, trauma, children’s wellness, and more) are provided in Spanish and English, on a sliding-fee scale. In 2017, CORE El Centro served more than 4,500 clients.

Sunday Forum is a Sunday morning lecture series at First Unitarian Society of Milwaukee that showcases provocative, sometimes controversial, speakers discussing topical issues of the day: politics, the environment, health issues, the arts, education and more. The Forum — in Max Otto Hall on our second floor — begins at 10:10 a.m. and lasts about 45 minutes. Speakers give a 30-minute presentation, followed by questions and brief comments from the audience. Coffee is served. Childcare is available.
