“Drawdown: A Plan to Reduce Global Warming”

Today’s Topic:

Paul Hawken’s recent book, DrawdownThe Most Comprehensive Plan Ever Proposed to Reverse Global Warming, measures, models and describes the 100 most substantive solutions to global warming with existing technology and capabilities. Each solution reduces greenhouse gases by avoiding emissions and/or by sequestering carbon dioxide already in the atmosphere.

Bruce Wiggins, urban gardener and member of local climate change groups, will present solutions in the book and the tools available on the Drawdown website at https://www.drawdown.org/solutions.  Some may surprise you!

Host: Lorraine Jacobs

The Forum — in Max Otto Hall on our second floor — begins at 10:10 a.m. and lasts about 45 minutes. Speakers give a 30-minute presentation, followed by questions and brief comments from the audience. Coffee is served. Childcare is available.
