League of Women Voters-Milwaukee County
April 11, 2021 | 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Ann Batiza, VP for Organization and Co-chair Natural Resources Committee.
The League of Women Voters of Milwaukee County is about more than voting, although it is one of the best sources for up-to-date local voter registration and candidate information. In addition to upholding the rights of voters, the LWV-Mke County is devoted to empowering voters through education and advocacy around issues of interest to our community. While Milwaukee has had an LWV chapter since 1930, the LWV-Mke County was formed by a merger of three local Leagues in 1989. Ann Batiza will discuss recent initiatives by the League and ways you can get involved, even without being a member.

Sign up for the Sunday Forum on Zoom & YouTube Live HERE.
For over 50 years, the Sunday Forum lecture series has showcased provocative, sometimes controversial, speakers discussing topical issues of the day: politics, the environment, health issues, the arts, education, and more. The Sunday Forum is held online via Zoom and YouTube Live at 11:00 a.m. during the regular church year. Speakers give a 45-minute presentation, followed by questions and brief comments from the audience. The content of Forum lectures does not necessarily express the viewpoint of First Unitarian Society of Milwaukee, but are meant to offer thoughtful topics which our members often pursue further on their own.
