Too often, we move through our days as if we have our fingers on a remote control, either pressing rewind, fast forward, or constantly on play. In these hectic and stress-filled times, how do we make space for stillness, for rest, for pressing the pause button? Join us as we invite you to “press pause” to reflect on stories and practices from various faith traditions to help us prioritize rest and renewal.
Beth Monhollen joined First Church in 2013 and has served in a variety of roles–coffee host, book sales team, Membership Team, OWL (sexuality ed) facilitator, and Geography of Grace facilitator. She worked in higher education for almost 20 years and began attending Meadville Lombard Theological School this fall. She is filled with gratitude for our First Church community, and for her partner of more than 20 years.
