T’ai Chi at Home

Do you need a breath of energy? Try T’ai Chi as a spiritual practice, to improve balance, coordination, and memory and calm the mind, body, and spirit. T’ai Chi is an ancient Chinese movement discipline combining slow, graceful martial arts movements with relaxing deep breathing.

Instructor Deb Solis, MFA has been a T’ai Chi instructor for 38 years. Deb is the Youth Program Coordinator at First Church.

This winter, Deb offers two, six-week classes on Zoom.

Thursday morning class is especially for beginners, offering a slower teaching pace, although all levels are welcome.

  • 9:00-10:00 a.m. – January 28-March 4, no class February 18.

Tuesday night class is designed for intermediate students, including those who have been in class with Deb this fall, or beginners who want to jump right into the practice.

  • 6:30-7:30 p.m.  – January 5-February 9.
  • Register here.

$30 for First Church members, $45 for non-members.

The Zoom link will be sent to participants prior to the first class.
