“What Dr. King Would Say to African American Youth Today”
Dr. King’s strong belief in the great importance of a solid education for creating a good life remains as relevant as ever for the well-being of our youth. Unfortunately, quality education for struggling African American scholars is just not happening in far too many cases.
Chaplain Ron Ballew is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ and has worked as Staff Chaplain at Milwaukee Community Service Corps, Ministry of Jail Visitation, and Chaplain for Black String Ensemble. He is a student of Dr. King’s writings and sermons for the past thirty years, and is a regular pulpit guest at UU Church West.
