EJM Electronic Communications
The Environmental Committee (our previous name) started a Yahoo Group many years ago, and is now transitioning to a Google Group “FUSMEarthJustice.” If you were part of the Yahoo group and wish to remain part of EJM communications, please sign up at the Social Justice table or email

Follow-Up to Elephant Service
After “Healing Elephants and Us,” a July service prepared by EJM and friends who held a discussion course on the Northwest Earth Institute’s book Seeing Systems: Peace, Justice, and Sustainability, several members requested follow-up. We now have a handout available at the Social Justice Table, and soon on our web site, so you have access to the live links. This handout gives you a link to the article that inspired our service, as well as several other pieces for further inspiration and Information.   At the service, Bruce Wiggins mentioned The Elephant Whisperer, a touching book – good for laughs and tears – available through our local libraries.

New Water-Saving Toilets
Did you know that last summer new toilets were installed in the first-floor public restrooms? These toilets were brought to you by a partnership of the Building and Grounds Committee, the Facilities Manager, and Earth Justice Ministry. We expect signs showing the water savings to be installed soon; many of us could achieve these same savings in our own abodes.
