Join our monthly conversation as we discuss October’s read The 1619 Project, by Nikole Hannah-Jones.
The 1619 Project, edited by Nicole Hannah-Jones, encapsulates a dramatic claim: that it was the arrival of slavery in the colonies when a ship arrived in Virginia and sold enslaved Africans to colonists. The book includes essays, poems and photographs showing the impact of slavery in all of our institutions. Discussion leader: Chris Linder.
