May 15, 2022 | 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Categories:

Jennifer O’Hear, Lead Organizer & Executive Director and
Jerry Fredrickson, First Church Member rep to Common Ground.

The First Unitarian Society of Milwaukee is an active member of the proudly diverse Common Ground community consisting of 40,000 members representing area congregations, schools, small businesses, neighborhoods, and organizations.  We are dedicated to identifying problems facing our communities, mobilizing citizens, and implementing creative solutions. The October 2021 Common Ground Assembly adopted four new issues which closely align with UU concerns and action: gun control, education, vehicular violence, and workforce development.  Our speaker(s) will present both research and action behind these initiatives, offering opportunities to collaborate.   Host:  Jerry Fredrickson, Molly Schiffler

First Unitarian Society of Milwaukee

For over 50 years, the Sunday Forum lecture series has showcased provocative, sometimes controversial, speakers discussing topical issues of the day: politics, the environment, health issues, the arts, education, and more. The Sunday Forum is held at 10:00 a.m. September through May. Speakers give a 45-minute presentation, followed by questions and brief comments from the audience. The content of Forum lectures does not necessarily express the viewpoint of First Unitarian Society of Milwaukee, but are meant to offer thoughtful topics which our members often pursue further on their own.
