Improvisational Theater in Milwaukee

September 18, 2022 | 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Categories:

Alecia Altstaetter, improv performer and educator at Comedysportz and Interchange Theater in Milwaukee.

Alecia and one of her teammates will talk about the improv process and producing shows and performing in Milwaukee. They will also demonstrate some scenes and ask for some audience volunteers.  Improvisational theatre, often called improv, is the form of theatre (often comedy) in which most or all of what is performed is unplanned or unscripted; it is created spontaneously by the performers. In its purest form, the dialogue, action, story, and characters are created collaboratively by the players as the improvisation unfolds in present time, without use of an already prepared, written script.   Host: Christian Becker

In-Person or Online at 10:00!

In-Person: In Max Otto Hall.

Online: Watch the livestream at 10:00 or a later time at our YouTube channel  You will not be able to ask questions.

First Unitarian Society of Milwaukee

For over 50 years, the Sunday Forum lecture series has showcased provocative, sometimes controversial, speakers discussing topical issues of the day: politics, the environment, health issues, the arts, education, and more. The Sunday Forum is held at 10:00 a.m. September through May. Speakers give a 45-minute presentation, followed by questions and brief comments from the audience. The content of Forum lectures does not necessarily express the viewpoint of First Unitarian Society of Milwaukee, but are meant to offer thoughtful topics which our members often pursue further on their own.
