Cydney Key, ThriveOn Collaboration Sr. Dir. Strategic Partnerships and Laura Glawe, Greater Mke Fdn VP Marketing & Communication.

The ThriveOn Collaboration of the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, the Medical College of Wisconsin and Royal Capital is committed to making generational investments throughout Milwaukee’s Bronzeville community and beyond, aimed at eliminating health, economic and educational disparities perpetuated by systemic racism and disinvestment.

Join us to learn how resident priorities have informed every aspect of this unprecedented effort, which features the redevelopment of the former Gimbels-Schuster’s department store on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. As ThriveOn King, the historic site will be a vibrant community hub that celebrates neighborhood heritage and serves as a catalyst for positive change.

Host: Jerry Fredrickson

First Unitarian Society of Milwaukee

For over 50 years, the Sunday Forum lecture series has showcased provocative, sometimes controversial, speakers discussing topical issues of the day: politics, the environment, health issues, the arts, education, and more. The Sunday Forum is held at 10:00 a.m. September through May. Speakers give a 45-minute presentation, followed by questions and brief comments from the audience. The content of Forum lectures does not necessarily express the viewpoint of First Unitarian Society of Milwaukee, but are meant to offer thoughtful topics which our members often pursue further on their own.
