Jean Johnson

Responsibilities

Jean is responsible for overall administration of the church including day-to-day financial management, administering human resources, and overseeing communications, IT and database, as well as facilities. Especially during this transition period, she serves as a resource and a point of continuity to the Board of Trustees and the Interim Senior Minister, as well as our new settled senior minister. Jean’s been working with the church since 1998.

Background

Jean received her Bachelor of Arts degree, with an emphasis in political philosophy, from the University of Chicago. Prior to her career at First Church, she worked at Frank Lloyd Wright’s home Taliesin. She and her husband also founded and directed for several years a small museum for the folkways of the Upper Midwest in Mount Horeb.
