Teresa Drews
Collaborative Pianist
Responsibilities
As Collaborative Pianist, Teresa performs with the Chancel Choir for rehearsals and services, along with performing other piano pieces and hymns for services.
Background
Teresa has been collaborative pianist at First Church since Fall 2019. She is also the Director of Education at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music where she manages faculty and curriculum for school programs.
An active performer in the Milwaukee area, she often collaborates with local musicians including those at WCM and the MSO. She is a co-founder of the series “Nice Girls Playing Chamber Music” which has also performed as part of First Church services.
Ms. Drews received a B.M. degree, with honors, from Northwestern University and an M.M. degree from the Peabody Conservatory of Music. She has studied with Sylvia Wang, Ann Schein, and Seth Knopp and performed in master classes by David Burge and Menahem Pressler.
