It has been a long winter. At times, it has felt as though the weather itself conspired with the political and cultural turmoil of our country—mercurial, heavy, and uncertain. And yet, even in the cold and the storms, there has been a quiet promise: justice is possible, but only if we are willing to shovel toward it with our whole hearts and souls.

Now, as we can almost turn toward spring, we do so with our theme of Embracing Possibility. We move forward with renewed clarity about the values we will continue to embody and with the strength that comes from standing together. Possibility does not ask us to deny the challenges before us, it invites us to meet them with courage, imagination, and collective resolve.

From the Justice Singers to Game Night, my hope is continually restored by each of you who keep showing up—in joy, in commitment, and in community. You embody what is right and true, reminding us that only together can we reshape our world. Community is where possibility takes root, and this congregation continues to nurture it. Thank you.

Many of you will recall that last summer I took the first half of my five‑month sabbatical, divided across two years to ensure continuity in our Faith Formation program. This summer, I will take the second half of that sabbatical, beginning May 17 through July 31.

A sabbatical is a sacred gift, a time for rest, renewal, and reflection, so that ministers and congregations may continue to thrive. During this time, my hope is to settle into our new home in South Milwaukee and prepare for the coming church year.

In the months ahead, our C.F.F. team, volunteers, and staff will be actively planning for my time away. I will continue to share updates as those plans take shape. Our faith is needed now more than ever, and I remain deeply grateful for this community, for the gift of service, and for the possibilities we continue to embrace together.

In faith,
Rev. Kimberlee
