Jennifer Evans, President, Our Future Milwaukee.

In the summer of 2023, the Milwaukee Common Council passed and the Mayor signed, the Milwaukee Climate and Equity Plan. The Plan sets out a pathway to dramatically reduce climate pollution in our community and has received national attention for its focus on reducing racial and economic inequality. A coalition of organizations, which now includes First Church, came together to form Our Future Milwaukee to support implementation of the Plan’s Ten Big Ideas. Jennifer Evans has been the prime mover bringing the coalition together and will speak about progress on implementing the plan and ways for everyone to get involved.

First Unitarian Society of Milwaukee

For over 50 years, the Sunday Forum lecture series has showcased provocative, sometimes controversial, speakers discussing topical issues of the day: politics, the environment, health issues, the arts, education, and more. The Sunday Forum is held at 10:00 a.m. September through May. Speakers give a 45-minute presentation, followed by questions and brief comments from the audience. The content of Forum lectures does not necessarily express the viewpoint of First Unitarian Society of Milwaukee, but are meant to offer thoughtful topics which our members often pursue further on their own.
