Hearts on Fire is a faith development opportunity for High School Seniors to meet with our minister and church staff to explore their faith and examine their credo.

The Latin root word credo means “believe.” A credo translates to: “what I set my heart to.” Creating a credo helps our youth examine and clarify what they have faith in, what they ultimately value and what greater purposes they believe life offers.  It is a unique and powerful Unitarian Universalist rite of passage, a time to reflect on who we are and hope to become, one we hope our young people will continue throughout their lives.

There are three small group sessions and then personal coaching with Rev. Kimberlee as needed to complete the credo process. This year we will meet on:

April 29, 7:00-8:00 pm on Zoom
April 30, 7:00-8:00 pm on Zoom
May 6, 10:30-11:30 a.m. in person at church in the Emerson Room

It is our tradition to recognize our High School Seniors on RE Sunday as they bridge into adulthood. For Seniors who wish to speak in front of the congregation on RE Sunday, Hearts on Fire participation is required.

Please let Rev. Kimberlee  know by April 13, 2025, if you or your youth would like to participate.

Rev. Kimberlee Tomczak Carlson
Minister of Religious Education
