Our Whole Lives (OWL), is a comprehensive, lifespan sexuality education curricula we are proud offer to our children and youth here at First Church. We believe everyone has the right to know how human bodies work and OWL offers honest, accurate information that empowers our young people to make informed choices and share this information with their peers. We know OWL saves lives and it is a service we are uniquely able to provide to our community.
We are currently seeking to add 7-9 OWL facilitators to our team of trained OWL facilitators that do this volunteer work at church. Training courses are now offered online and in-person by the UUA. If you go to the links below you will see the training offerings. Please note that the church can cover expenses for this intensive training. The church makes an investment when they train OWL facilitators; we have a responsibility to use the church’s resources wisely. We ask that if you become an OWL facilitator that you make a three-year commitment to teach in our OWL program at First Church.
