Sometimes a little rain falls in our lives—and sometimes, it’s a downpour. During the storms that hit Milwaukee on August 9 and 10, one of our members discovered unwanted water in their basement. Seeking help, they reached out to Laura White, our Pastoral Care Provider Coordinator.
While most pastoral care requests involve providing meals or rides to appointments, this situation called for a different kind of support. Remembering that at First Church we are part of something larger than ourselves, three of us pulled on our well-worn cleaning clothes and pitched in.
