Responsibilities

Tristan programs music for one-third of Sunday services, directs the Chancel Choir, sings and plays the organ, piano, and other instruments for services, supervises our choral scholar program and collaborative pianist, and maintains the church’s choral library.

Background

Tristan received his Bachelor’s degree in Instrumental, General, and Choral Music Education from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. Tristan has played piano, percussion and sung with a variety of musical ensembles and theater groups in southeastern Wisconsin. He previously taught instrumental, choral, and general music in public and private schools. In addition to working part-time at First Church, he works as a full-time Firefighter/EMT for 128th Air Refueling Wing Fire Department at General Mitchell International Airport. He is a member of the American Choral Directors Association and the Association of Unitarian Universalist Music Ministries, where he has served on the Membership and Conference Planning Committees.
