In our Sunday service September 27, James Crews read us his poem “How to Listen,” which included these lines:
“Even if no one says a word
for a while, receive the silence”
Each Monday night from 5:30 – 6:30, we sit in silence, listening to our deeper selves and to the beauty of our sanctuary and each other.
Why? Well, later that day James told us that silences “help tame the roaring elephant of the mind.” Or perhaps they bring calm and insight in this new, quiet language as we breathe together.
If you would like to join us, there’s no sign-up. Simply come.
