The Earth Justice Ministry had a wonderful time at our September 14 Walk & Roll. We met in Lincoln Park to view the new pollinator garden and talk with the Friends of Lincoln Park about their work to maintain and rejuvenate this park along the Milwaukee River.
EJM started these Walk & Roll outings during the pandemic as a way to gather in the outdoors and get some exercise plus learn about nature in our city. We have continued them monthly since then. We have had a variety of wheels — the “roll” part — including wheelchairs, walkers, baby strollers, scooters, and a Segway.
We welcome any and all First Church members and friends to join us. Watch for announcements in the Chanticleer and weekly announcements of these monthly outings. If you love a local park with an ADA-accessible trail, let our organizers Jackie Zandi and Paula Anderson know. We would love to have you host a Walk & Roll at your favorite park.
