Grace-filled Gatherings
July 2, 2023 | 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Today’s Topic
What if Your Next Get-Together Changes the World?
How, why, and with whom we gather together matters. In what ways have gatherings, whether professional, personal, or spiritual, changed your life? What serendipities and other moments of grace occurred because of the ways we have come together in community?
Rev. Dr. Omega Burckhardt currently serves as the Assistant Minister at First Unitarian Universalist Church in San Diego, and she will begin tenure as Senior Minister at Neighborhood Unitarian Universalist Church in Pasadena, California in August. As a Religious Naturalist, Rev. Omega’s ministry focuses on the divine cycles of our lives, weaving social justice, spiritual exploration, and community building into a tapestry of our shared joy-filled faith. Omega became a Unitarian Universalist at First Unitarian Society of Milwaukee many years ago, where her now-adult children graduated from the OWL program. Her husband, Eric Heilig, is still active at First Church. Before her calling to ministry, Omega was Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish at Marquette University, and later, translator and beer history aficionado at Lakefront Brewery.
