Journalism, You, and the Future of Truth-Seeking

Despair over the seeming triumph of disinformation doesn’t have to overwhelm us. You can take action and personal responsibility to help nurture and support honest journalism and the “responsible search for truth and meaning” that Unitarian Universalism encourages.
Dave Umhoefer is a Wisconsin native and Pulitzer Prize-winning local news reporter in Milwaukee who now guides in-depth, solutions-oriented reporting projects at the O’Brien Fellowship in Public Service Journalism at Marquette University. The Story Hill neighborhood resident joined First Church in 2010.

Social Hour: Join us in the Leenhouts Common Room after service to meet friends, old and new.
Parking: Our church has no parking lot. Jewish Family Services lot: JFS welcomes us to use their parking lot on Sundays. It is located 3 blocks west of the church, on Van Buren near Knapp St. Kingshead lot: On Sundays we can also use the gated parking lot on the corner of Van Buren and Knapp Streets. After you park, get a token from an usher in order to exit the lot. We also rely on street parking in our neighborhood. Here is a map with details.
