Scholar Reza Aslan wrote in his book Zealot: the Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth, “There are only two hard historical facts about Jesus of Nazareth: first, Jesus was a Jew who led a popular Jewish movement in Palestine at the beginning of the first century C.E.; second, Rome crucified him for doing so.” Join us this Easter Sunday when we’ll consider Jesus’ movement of resistance to the powers and principalities of domination. What new life can we find in the ashes of his message?
