This month, we’re exploring the theme of transformation. In what ways have you been transformed this year? Where have you seen transformation in our community, and other communities in your life?
Transformation is the type of change that affects your spirit and your life. It is an order of magnitude larger than change. Like a butterfly emerging from a cocoon, a plant emerging from a seed, or a flower emerging from a bud, transformation requires a new being to emerge from what was. It can be frightening, exhilarating, sorrowful, and beautiful.
This month at church, we are engaging in a couple of transformative processes building small changes into large ones:
- Our First Church Anti-Racism Team is hosting a “Building Healthy Multicultural Community” training on March 9. Details can be found here.
- And our First Church Pledge Team is leading our annual Pledge Drive to reach pledge sustainability. Details found here.
