In-Person Sunday Services Begin in March
Our current in-person church plan relies on proof of vaccination or a negative COVID PCR test to keep people safe, instead of a low Milwaukee County COVID incidence rate on which our previous plan was based. Although vaccination continues to protect against serious illness and death, there is enough transmission among vaccinated people that we are joining the many churches who are choosing not to gather in large groups in person during this surge.
February: Staff-led Teams in-person. Small groups of staff-led teams can continue to meet in-person at church if they so choose. Your staff leader will be in conversation with their teams.
March: Sunday Services and Children’s Religious Education in-person. We hope to offer in-person Sunday services in March. Limited seats with advance registration and proof of vaccination or negative test required. Stay tuned for details!
March: Small Groups in-person. We plan to allow teams, ministries, and groups meet in-person in March. Proof of vaccination or negative test will be required. We are reaching out to these leaders soon about required training on checking vaccination proof or tests and technology.
Few indoor gatherings. Currently, the First Church building is open limited hours for specific scheduled staff-led team meetings.
Outdoor gatherings of any sized-group are welcome. You must be masked, distanced six feet, and your outdoor space must have appropriate capacity for the size of your group.
See details in this message from Rev. Jennifer and the COVID Team.
