OWL Facilitator Training K-6

Honest, accurate information about sexuality changes lives. It dismantles stereotypes and assumptions, builds self-acceptance and self-esteem, fosters healthy relationships, improves decision making, and has the potential to save lives.

For these reasons and more, First Unitarian Society of Milwaukee is proud to offer K-6 grade Our Whole Lives (OWL) facilitator training. This is a comprehensive, lifespan sexuality education training for those who would like to teach this curriculum in their congregation. It is an intensive teacher training the weekend of January 20-22, 2023.

WHEN: Friday, January 20 – Sunday, January 22, 2023

• Friday, January 20 (4:30 pm – 9:00 pm)
• Saturday, January 21 (8:00 am – 9:00 pm)
• Sunday, January 22 (8:00 am – 2:00 pm)

MEALS: Registration includes these meals: Friday dinner & Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner, Sunday breakfast on your own, lunch provided.

FEES:  $325.00 per person.

Minimum ages requirement:  The minimum age for OWL training participants is 25 years old if part of the UUA. The minimum age for OWL training participants is 21 years old if part of the UCC community.

CURRICULUM YOU MUST PURCHASE: All participants MUST purchase and bring with them a copy of the curriculum for the levels they are being trained for. Contact the UUA bookstore to purchase materials. Please allow enough time to receive materials and review them before coming to the training.
