Scaling Wellness in Milwaukee

September 25, 2022 | 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Categories:

Eugene Manzanet, PhD.

Scaling Wellness in Milwaukee (SWIM) was founded with the vision of fighting generational trauma in Milwaukee through forming strategic partnerships between community-based organizations. SWIM offers responsive workplace training that creates a more resilient workplace by educating employees on being more observant and reactive to trauma. SWIM also has a non-profit accelerator in which we run a 15-week course where non-profit leaders learn the skills necessary to create a self-sufficient and sustainable organization. Through our trainings and events we hope to make a more resilient Milwaukee.   Host: Lorraine Jacobs

First Unitarian Society of Milwaukee

For over 50 years, the Sunday Forum lecture series has showcased provocative, sometimes controversial, speakers discussing topical issues of the day: politics, the environment, health issues, the arts, education, and more. The Sunday Forum is held at 10:00 a.m. September through May. Speakers give a 45-minute presentation, followed by questions and brief comments from the audience. The content of Forum lectures does not necessarily express the viewpoint of First Unitarian Society of Milwaukee, but are meant to offer thoughtful topics which our members often pursue further on their own.
