Wisconsin for Environmental Justice
January 26, 2025 | 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Dean Muller, President of Wis. for Environmental Justice.
Wisconsin for Environmental Justice (WEJ) works to get the state, cities, and counties to pursue litigation against the fossil fuel industry for climate damages. WEJ’s goal is to build a statewide community of organizations and individuals that will effectively bring about the change we need to meet the challenge of climate change. Dean will update us on national litigation and our efforts here in Wisconsin. The overriding goal of WEJ is to protect the planet for future generations. Wisconsin has a rich history of environmental justice, from John Muir to Gaylord Nelson. We must live up to that tradition.

For over 50 years, the Sunday Forum lecture series has showcased provocative, sometimes controversial, speakers discussing topical issues of the day: politics, the environment, health issues, the arts, education, and more. The Sunday Forum is held at 10:00 a.m. September through May. Speakers give a 45-minute presentation, followed by questions and brief comments from the audience. The content of Forum lectures does not necessarily express the viewpoint of First Unitarian Society of Milwaukee, but are meant to offer thoughtful topics which our members often pursue further on their own.
