Blessed at Pridefest is a powerful street ministry that First Church co-sponsors each year in Milwaukee. Interfaith organizations create a blessing booth and clergy offer personalized blessing to Pridefest participants using our blessing menu and are given a “Blessed at Pridefest” sticker.
Clergy and lay volunteers work together to explain, help introduce, and guide people to participate in the blessing booth. The blessing booth also features a photo backdrop with props and a Rainbow Ribbon Blessing Gate, a collaborative art project. People are invited to write a blessing on a ribbon and tie it to the Rainbow Ribbon Blessing Gate for the blessings to be shared as they are blown by the wind throughout the Summerfest grounds.
Blessed at Pridefest this year is on:
Friday, June 7th, 3:00-9:00 p.m. and
Saturday, June 8th, 12:00-9:00 p.m.
