In this time of heightened concern about democracy, our deepest values and beliefs can still ground and guide us. What theological perspectives keep our country from living up to its promise, and how might Unitarian Universalists act with hope and love?

Rev. Jim Foti is a Unitarian Universalist minister based in Minnesota and Wisconsin. A Milwaukee native, he served as First Church’s assistant sabbatical minister in the first half of 2023 and recently completed a sabbatical ministry at the First Unitarian Society of Madison.
