Resting at the Edge

Today’s Topic:

Life isn’t easy, it’s full of challenges and decisions that just seem impossible to surmount. Things happen that we don’t have answers for: loss seems to be a constant companion, we reach a point where we don’t think we can cope with it anymore. We have reached the edge and the only thing out there is an abyss of uncertainty, fear, pain; even anger. I propose that that “edge” is a place of rest.

Andy Agacki, took first Lay Precepts with the Kwan Um School of Zen in 1998 and reconfirmed them with Bright Dawn Institute. After training with the late Rev. Koyo Kubose, Andy was inducted as a Buddhist Minister in 2008. He served as president of international Bright Dawn Lay Minister’s Association in 2011. Andy has given Dharma Talks and sermons at First Church and other UU churches. He has served as Meditation Facilitator for First Church’s annual Silent Retreat, where he has also conducted Evening Vespers.
