Jesus Is a Phoenix
April 17, 2022 | 9:00 am & 11:00 am
In the Christian story of Easter, the early Christian community is devastated by the state crucifixion of its leader. Somehow, this beleaguered community comes to believe in resurrection despite living in the shadow of empire. In a contemporary world filled with violence and cause for despair, where is the hope? As we watch the world burn, what phoenix might rise from the ashes? Join us for this Easter worship service where we explore the hope of the empty tomb.
