Jesus Resists!
April 9, 2023 | 9:00 am & 11:00 am
Today’s Topic:
Scholar Reza Aslan wrote in his book Zealot: the Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth, “There are only two hard historical facts about Jesus of Nazareth: first, Jesus was a Jew who led a popular Jewish movement in Palestine at the beginning of the first century C.E.; second, Rome crucified him for doing so.” Join us this Easter Sunday when we’ll consider the resistance embedded in the early Jesus movement’s message of new life after they lost their beloved leader to state–sanctioned violence.
