Share the Plate is a First Church social justice ministry that shares 50% of all non-pledge cash in the church’s weekly offering plate with non-profit organizations in the Milwaukee metro area. The work of recipient organizations is also highlighted in various ways: during church services, in the Chanticleer, and on the Share the Plate page on the Church’s website.
There are opportunities for you to become more directly involved in our Share the Plate endeavors. Please consider nominating a deserving organization that addresses issues that are close to your heart.
Basic criteria for Share the Plate eligibility are as follows: the organization is a non-profit, providing services predominantly in the greater Milwaukee area; and the work focuses on serving one or more of a range of economically and socially challenged populations.
